Facility Description

Shinbashi is famous as the terminal station of the first railway line in Japan (between Shinbashi and Yokohama), which opened in 1872. At that time, it was not located where JR Shinbashi Station is now, but where the "Old Shinbashi Station" (Shiodome district) is now, where the Railway History Exhibition Room is permanently located.
