Facility Description

At Chion-in Temple, the parking lot on the mountain, which was previously available, is currently closed to regular cars except in special circumstances due to major repairs to the Goei-do Hall, which are scheduled to be completed by 2019 (large tourist buses are allowed). For this reason, Chion-in Temple recommends that visitors refrain from coming by car as much as possible and use public transportation instead. If you are unavoidably coming by car, the Chion-in Temple Shinmon Minami Parking Lot (Times) is the closest and should be used.
