Facility Description

Kiyomizu-Gojo Station is the nearest station to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is known for being crowded with tourists all year round. This area is known as the birthplace of Kiyomizu-yaki pottery. The Pottery Festival, held every August, features hundreds of stalls lined up, and the area is bustling until late at night. Just east of the station, on Gojo Ohashi Bridge, stands the statues of Ushiwakamaru and Benkei, which are associated with the legend.
